The oldest operating coaster in the UK! Roller Coaster opened at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach in 1932 and still features an onboard „Brakeman“ – an operator who sits on the train controlling the speed of the train using an brake lever. At the time of writing (August 2012), only six other coasters use the brakeman technique to control the speed.
Situated on the seafront, Roller Coaster dips and dives around an impressive structure. Although it’s not thrilling by today’s standards, it has a certain charm making it a popular ride for all ages.
